our work

We strive to advocate for social changes trough active Roma youth participation. FERYP focuses efforts that break down stereotypes and barriers, challenging status quo that prevent Roma social advancement.

To do this, FERYP organizes various ranges of activities and projects, led by ourselves or in partnership with other youth organizations and institutions. We aim at training young Roma on human rights and to promote Roma political participation. Most of our projects are based on non-formal education approaches and mostly working at European level, but also giving support to young Roma in their local projects.

Our work generally falls into three pillars: Participation in the political arena, rebuilding Roma leadership and enhancing Roma engagement in public life. The interplay among these pillars lies at the heart of everything we do since we believe that a real impact can only be made if we are able to improve Roma lives at all levels.

FERYP has 20 years of experience working with Roma and non-Roma youth across Europe, in diverse sectors and in collaboration with youth organizations and institutions.

Activities and projects organized by FERYP are funded by international institutions such as European Commission, Council of Europe among others, as well as private donors.
